27^th Annual Session of Cumberland Valley School of Gospel Music Huge Success!

Cumberland Valley School of Gospel Music held its 2009 two-week session teaching shape-note gospel music, June 15-June 26, on the campus of Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tennessee. Students enjoyed two weeks of learning, fellowship and fun culminating in a Closing Night Session where their skills were showcased for parents and visitors. Make plans now to attend the 2010 session next June. And check back here soon for photos from the 2009 session as well as updated info about the 2010 session and our 2010 Homecoming and Songbook.

Cumberland Valley Quartet Releases New CD

The Cumberland Valley Quartet has released a new CD titled Look On the Brighter Side. It includes many of their most requested songs including "I'm the One" featuring lead singer Alan Pedigo. For more information on this new CD and/or to order your copy please click here.

Scholarship Recipients Announced

At our annual Homecoming the weekend of March 20-21, 2009, recipients of several scholarships for the 2009 session of CVSGM were announced.

The 2009 scholarship winners are:

Louis Cotton Scholarship- Deidra Sparks

Dawn Smith Scholarship - Drema England

TN State Convention Scholarship - Kayla Franklin

Memorial Scholarship - Baillie Hooten

Beginning next year the application deadline will be May 1 of each year. An application which can be downloaded will be available here on the website shortly.
